Sylan – Nidaros

AUGUST 2019

Join us for a 9 days walk along the old pilgrimpath, from higlands to spruce forest, from the Swedish border to te pilgrim Capital of Trondheim. Every day we walk part of the route in silence. This way we will be able to enjoy the amazing nature for Trøndelag County in Norway.  While walking, we become more and more aware of the present moment. Your guide will be Hilde Kirkvold, who has been leading this pilgrimage tour for the past 6 years.

BOOKING

Since this walk takes several days it is possible to start from ⌘Sylsjøen (160 km) or from *Gressli (100 km); see plan below. You may also sign up for Shorter distances, but those who intend to start at Sylsjøen or Gressli and do the Whole trail will be given priority. We recommend that you spend a day of rest in Trondheim before you go back home.

The deadline for registration is 1th of August 2018. We have a limit of maximum 12 and minimum 7 participants. The total cost for the pilgrimage is NOK  9.900 or 1.200 pr day.
This includes guiding, overnight stays, meals and transport of luggage. Any cancellation must be made before 1th of August 2018. Please note the following: It is only possible to book for one day/one night. If you cancel Your booking after the 1 of August, you will have to pay a cancellation fee of NOK 1,000.

Paths and plans are subject to minor changes. We reserve the right to cancel the pilgrimage in case unforseen events that preclude its implementation.

The pilgrimage reaches its destination at Nidaros Cathederal. We may help you with booking accomodation at Comfort Hotel Park in Trondheim from the 27th to the 28th of August.

How to get there?
We will start walking from Sylsjøen on the 19th of August. You can take the local bus from Trondheim at 09:07 or from Trondheim ariport, Værnes, on the 18th of August at 09:57 (subject to change in bus schedules), and we will meet you at the bus stop here in Tydal, Kirkvollen. Coffee at 12 for those arriving by bus and dinner at 17:00. We will transport you to the startingpoint of our pilgrimage the 19th og August.

  • Bag for what is not carried during the days walk (being transported between acommo). Maks 2 pieces, each of 15 kilo (remember you have to lift it into a trailer every day).

Bring your daypack and boots for walking tours in advance, so you know that the bag and shoes fits you.

Pratical help – sosial community
This offer for a pilgrimage includes accomodation, dining and luggage transportation along the way. Throug these walks you will also be part of a Group of pilgrims, who will create their own ambicience along the road, a Dimension often missed along Our paths. Joining us for long walks is a special Challenge and an experience for both New and experienced hikers. It is intended to help partisipants to create an interest in the joy of a pilgrim`s life. Every pilgrim must adhere to the community, and assist everyone else, under the tutelage of a guide and some volunteers. Read more at pilegrimsleden.no.

Responsability
Before you sign up, we need to be assured thath you are fit enough to walk a distance of 20 km a day for several days in a row. You are responsible for travel and accommodation to Trondheim airport, Værnes at 14:00 th 18th of July, and from the end of  Your pilgrimage. Furthermore, we assume that you have signed Your own relevant insuance policies, including travel Insurance and any other personal Insurance that you might require.

Is this a religious walk?
No. The pilgrimage routes are established in the context of religious pilgrimage, but today People walk these paths for many different reasons. On Our walk we will also visit churches.

Privacy Policy

The Privacy Statement is about how this website collects and uses visitor information. The statement contains information that you are entitled to when collecting information from our website, and general information about how we treat personal data. The legal owner of the website is the processing officer for the processing of personal data. 1. Web analytics and cookies (cookies)

2. Search

If the webpage has search function, it stores information about what keywords users use in Google Analytics. The purpose of the storage is to improve our information service. The search usage pattern is stored in aggregate form. Only the keyword is saved and they can not be linked to other information about the users, such as the IP addresses.

3. Share / Tips service

The "Share with others" feature can be used to forward links to the site by email, or to share the content of social networking. Tips for tips are not logged with us, but only used to add the tips to the community. However, we can not guarantee that the online community does not log this information. All such services should therefore be used wisely. If you use the email feature, we only use the provided email addresses to resend the message without any form of storage.

4. Newsletter

The website can send out newsletters by email if you have registered to receive this. In order for us to be able to send e-mail, you must register an e-mail address. Mailchimp is the data processor for the newsletter. The e-mail address is stored in a separate database, not shared with others and deleted when you unsubscribe. The e-mail address will also be deleted if we receive feedback that it is not active.

5. Registration, form

The website may have a form for registration, contact form or other form. These forms are available to the public to perform the tasks they are supposed to do. Registration form is for visitors to sign up or register. Contact form is for visitors to easily send a message to the website's contact person. We ask for the name of the sender and contact information for this. Personal information we receive is not used for purposes other than responding to the inquiry. The form is sent as email via Mailgun as a third party solution. The entire submission will be stored at Mailgun for 24 hours. Between 24 hours and 30 days, only mailheader is stored before the submission is deleted after 30 days. The reason for this storage is to confirm whether emails are sent from the website and forwarded to the correct recipient. Once the email is received by the recipient, it is up to the recipient to determine the data processing needs of the email.

6. Page and service functionality

Cookies are used in the operation and presentation of data from websites. Such cookies may contain language code information for languages ​​selected by the user.
